I am a teacher, pianist, early-childhood music education pedagogue, and believer in all things holistic and hygge. After growing up in NYC, I spent ten years studying, teaching and working as a Suzuki Method instructor in Los Angeles, where I served as President of the Suzuki Music Association of California, Los Angeles in addition to running a private studio. In the summer of 2017, my percussionist husband and I re-located to the beautiful city of Graz, Austria with our dogs, Cleo (6ish) and Leika (2.5). In 2017, we started Musikal Husky, in the hopes of pushing the field of music education further.
This journal communicates everyday experiences, and will touch upon various interests, from studio design, teaching piano, cultivating the Danish "hygge" both at home and within the studio, travel, book reviews, and even food. The presence of Everyday Magic strings together these pieces, as well as my work as a teacher, colleague, friend, and creator of children's materials.
